If you’re new to Tolkien’s languages and scripts, I have two articles for you to read first:
If you’re new to the world of Tolkien’s languages, this article covers what you need to know before you get something tattooed permanently onto your body.
This article is something to give the person who will be inscribing or tattooing the tengwar text, to make sure they make it legible, now that you’ve done all of that hard work in making sure it says what you want it to say!
These are the scripts that I can write with.
- Tengwar, Classical Mode
Quenya: Hlassen nairea linderya mi laicatauresse.
Sindarin: Lastannen i lind dhem dîn mi Eryn Lasgalen.
English: I heard her sad song in Greenwood.
- Tengwar, Mode of Beleriand (Sindarin Only) Lastannen i lind dhem dîn mi Eryn Lasgalen.
- Cirth (Sindarin Only) Lastannen i lind dhem dîn mi Eryn Lasgalen.
The cost is $5 a word in Tengwar. If you also want it translated, it’s $20 per a sentence or $5 for a single word.
