Now we're going to dive into the linguistics of Sindarin. There isn't any homework assigned for this book, but instead, I want you to go out and explore Sindarin. Use the map I've given you as a basic guideline, and experiment with your own translations. I urge you try your hand at writing dialogues or even some Elven poetry. You are now a journeyman, and you need to forge your own path through Sindarin, and do your own research. If you like, you can join my forum as a translator to get some experience. I will always be there for the questions that you have.

I know that many of my students don't have any linguistic training. I'll do my best to explain the linguistic terms and concepts as we come to them. Review the IPA lesson very carefully, because the basic classification of sounds is very important. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to e-mail me or ask on the forums.
